Mood swing again

There are many reasons for a person to have mood swings or feeling down... For instance, it may be caused by stress, weather, circumstance/ surroundings, human factors, etc...

Maybe lately I just have too many things on mind which made me ponder & think more than usual... Sometimes, just too many things come at the same time without control or out of expectation...

At work, I had been rushing for memberships for the past 1 week and still have not completed yet... I will be taking a new portfolio from tmr, I had started to worry and think if I can handle it... Office reno is in progress and should be completed by next weekend, after that I will need to dismantle + assemble all the IT stuff (computers, printers, fax machine, photocopier, modems, server, etc) by myself... I was been tasked by 500 to assist in an internet survey which he wanted to launch to all GPs... Then I also need to explore on the video streaming feature to put in website... Still need to guide the new JCFMT team on the MMed A matters...

At home, my father was having slight warm temperature 2 days ago which made me worried for days... Luckily the temperature went back to normal after stopping the chinese med for 1 day... Perhaps the med was abit strong for his body, the chinese physician said we can reduce the med amount to 3 tablets instead of 4... My 2nd sis was also mentioning if having the chinese med will crash with the western medications that my father was still having at the same time... The nursing home bill eventually still came yesterday, this was something which I hope it will never come bcos I was really financially tight... But somehow my 2nd sis said she will settle the bill which relieved me abit, but I will still help to fork out part of it as I knew that she was also very tight... However, heard from my mother that my small sis is going to further her studies in July which more or less will add on to our financial at this time, but my mother is willing to fork out the money for her to study... Couldn't understand was, my small sis just brought a mini laptop yesterday which costed about $600+... Although she had saved this money for 1yr, but if she could help abit in my father's expenses, that will definitely reduce our bunden...

For myself, still feeling dead tired and having gastric unwell these few days... Still getting up at 5.30am everyday to feed my father his medications... Having late lunch at work and late breakfast over weekends...

Due to all these, somehow I was abit affected and thus not in very good form... But life still goes on right...

Face threading & Andersons ice-creams

This was the 2nd or 3rd time that I had done the face threading... The feeling was the same everytime I did the threading... One word to describe: PAINFUL... Ouch...

Btw, I still have 3 facial treatments with CareLyna... Afterwhich I will not sign anymore package liao... So expensive... I rather go for those ad-hoc treatments, at least I will not feel the pain of forking out the lump sum of money or paying by installment plans every months...

To reward myself for the pain after doing the threading, dar & I went to Andersons to have ice-creams... haha... 5 scoops of ice-creams with biscuit as the base... yummy yummy!

Polyclinic

Last night, I went over to my grandma's house to sleep & to accompany her bcos my uncle was working night shift... Anyway, I also needed to accompany her to polyclinic to take med, so might as well I just overnight at her house...

This morning I wokeup at 8.10am then accompanied my grandma & aunt to Bedok polyclinic to see doctor + take med... We reached there at 9.30am after having breakfast, the polyclinic was not very crowded then (maybe bcos of the Influenza that people don't dare to step into there?)... Anyway, there were 2 stations of screening before we could stepped into the clinic and to the registration counter... I was screened twice bcos I went to take queue numbers for my grandma & aunt while they had their breakfast, then I went down again to go up with them bcos the screening required NRIC...

Although the polyclinic was not crowded, but the waiting time of my grandma's doctor was very very long... There were about 5-6 people waiting in front of us to see the same doctor and they also waited for at least 2.5hr... Heard that this doctor was very detailed in seeing patients, that's the reason why people are willing to wait... Btw, we waited for 3hrs to see the doctor and 30min to take med from pharmancy...

Packing of office cabinets

We were told by the reno company to pack all our files in the in-built cabinets attached to the top wall of our office as they are going to dismantle the cabinets and assemble them to the new office tmr...

We spent 3hrs to look through all the files and kept those that we still need into the carton boxes... Altogether we had 12 cabinets and after packing into the boxes, we had about 6 big boxes and 5 small boxes of files... Imagine we had to unpack them again after the reno is done in 1 week's time!

We all left office at about 7pm just now and I reached home at 8pm... sian & dead tired...

Thinking of next weekend that I have to dismantle all the computers and printers then assemble them back again in the new office, I already sian half liao... Think I will be more dead tired by then... sigh...

Lunch at Y Cafe @ YMCA

Today is our secretariat lunch again... Reona asked JJ to reserve the table for us at Y Cafe bcos JJ is working at YMCA then got staff discount of 25%... The set lunch there was quite cheap ($12.40 including free flow of tea/ coffee, a dessert and a soup of the day)... I ordered Fish & Chips set so I can drink the free flow of tea... The soup of the day was tomato soup which was abit too sour for me... The dessert was actually butter cookie bread which I don't eat, so JJ requested the waitress if can change other dessert for me... The waitress said actually cannot, but since JJ is the staff there so she made special arrangement and changed for me... It's a scoop of chocolate ice-cream... yeah... yummy!

Long meeting on Thur

From today onwards, I will have longer Admin meeting on Thur liao... Other than attending my own meeting, I also will be attending Linda's meeting bcos I will be taking over her portfolio of doing the SFP journals... Both meetings might take up to 1 to 1.5 hrs...

There are 2 types of people's thinkings when they are doing lesser work but still getting the same pay:
1) more happy
2) feel insecured

I still have membership's work pending and the deadline is coming Thur... Stressed!

Last JCFMT meeting

Just reached home not long ago... Had a meeting at NUS DGMS from 5pm to 7.30pm... This will be the last JCFMT meeting that colleague Y and I were attending... Basically after lunch, we can't do much work then had to leave for this meeting liao... We left College at 4.15pm...

Towards the end of the meeting, the new JCFMT manager (named as YY for short) wanted to present small token of appreciation to colleague Y & I as "farewell" cum thank you gifts... No matter what, colleague Y had been doing the JCFMT work since July 2007 to March 2008 when I took over the work in March 2008 to now...

YY invited both co-chair to present the gifts to us, so Prof Lee presented the gift to colleague Y and Dr Lee presented the gift to me... Prof Lee thanked colleague Y for her past contributions while Dr Lee thanked me and said happily "see you in College"... Do you know why he said that? Bcos before the JCFMT transition to the new team, colleague Y & I were given options to either leave with the new team to work in NUS DGMS to do JCFMt work or we can choose to stay with College to do purely College work... So both of us had chosen to stay in College...

Btw, guess what's the gifts? It's a 4GB thumbdrive! Better than nothing right? Plus there was a thank you card signed off by the JCFMT director (Dr L)...

Just wanted to grumble abit... NUS is really a wulu place for me to travel home... I took almost closed to 1.5hr to reach home from there... Taking bus 97 to Buona Vista then took Mrt to Bedok then transferred feeder bus home... sian hor... @#^%$*%#$*#

Too lazy & tired to eat dinner at Bedok central which I planned to do so... But after travelling so far, I just wish to reach home faster... Abit hungry now liao... How? Go to sleep then wun feel hungry? Ok, will do that then...

Off day

Today I was not working... I took day off for the Vesak day off in-lieu... Supposed to take the off in-lieu within 2 weeks after the public holiday, but bcos of the transition so Jennifer gave 1 week extension for me else it will be fortfited... haha...

Basically, I was whole day at home accompanying my father and chatting with him... This morning actually wanted to bring my grandma to market for breakfast but she ate maggi mee before I called her... So I didn't stepped out of my house except to bring my father for acupunture downstair... No time to sleep or rest today, but nvm, sometimes it's also a waste of time to sleep too much hor...

Today was a good time to talk to my parents about meeting dar's parents, and also to tell them about our plan in mind... My mother was ok for the meet the parents' session but wanted me to sound out my father 1st bcos of his condition... After the acupunture session, I sounded out my father and I was glad that he also said ok to meet up with dar's parents despite his current condition... Hope everything will go on fine...

So tired now, going to sleep soon lo...

Busy with memberships matters

Today, Jennifer officially made announcement to everybody that I will be taking over the new portfolio as of 1 June 09, on the publication of SFP journals as well as organising of the FPSC... The rest of my portfolios like handling IT issues, elearning for GDFM, SFP portal, membership login issues & MMed A attendance will remain as it is...

Afterall, FPSC is the courses that will generate the most revenues for College, therefore if I can do a good job, our bonus will also be more... I can't promise that I will do better than Linda, but I will definitely do my best...

After Jennifer had announced this news, I can sensed that colleague Y was abit not happy maybe bcos she felt that I don't need to handle trainees anymore but she still need to be "pestered" by her trainees... Maybe also bcos everybody knows that FPSC can earn more revenues for College so she is not happy that I can take charge of bigger events...

Well, I don't care what & how she felt...

Anyway, I also didn't talk to her much these days... I am just too busy with creating memberships' account in SFP portal and also to prepare the database to print the login password letters... Altogether about 1110 letters to generate & print by next Friday... wah... somemore need to check all the members' status in SFP portal before I print so that the letters will reflect their new or existing passwords... shiong hor...

Night at the Museum 2

Went to watch the movie "Night at the Museum 2" last night... Although I didn't watch the season 1, but heard from my small sis that season 2 was quite nice... However, she also went to watch yesterday and commented that it was not as nice as part 1... Despite that, I still went to watch it with dar at PS... The respond was overwhelming and the cinema was fullhouse, I can't get any ticket for the early slot at 7.25pm, 7.50pm and 8.25pm... Can only managed to get the 9.20pm tickets...

Quite nice & funny show with some historical characters who I don't even know, e.g. the 1st president of U.S, etc... haha... If in real life, all the historical characters came to life just like what was in the show, think I will be scared to death... Anyway, my history knowledge is private limited... haha...

Waiting to watch Transformer 2 in June and Harry Potter 6 in July...

Last day of transition

Finally it's the last day of handover liao... All the arch files had been taken away by the new JCFMT manager, I had also cut all the softcopies into a disc for her...

However, there is a JCFMT meeting on the coming Wednesday which I had to attend with colleague Y... The venue is at NUS...

Actually I had already applied for day off on Wednesday for the Vesak Day off in-lieu, but bcos of this meeting I had to change date for my off day... What I was abit pissed off was, colleague Y actually told me that I can don't attend the meeting... What the heck, who does she think she is to tell me don't need to attend...

1st, she is not my boss to tell me what to do...
2nd, I still have some pending cases to bring up to the committee for discussion so I have to follow-up on the cases...
3rd, this should be the last time that we are attending the JCFMT meeting since the new team had taken over the work, so I think I should attend...

Anyway after the transition, I will have a new portfolio... Quite looking forward to do the new job scope but at the same time worried that I may not do well... Maybe I should not worried too much 1st, just do it and see how...

Super like to earn credits

I had never seen such a person who likes to fight for credits so much and so obvious... This colleague Y again... We had our weekly Admin meeting every Thursday and during the meeting, each of us have to report what we did for the past week and will be doing for the coming week... This colleague Y reported in her portion that she will be updating the College website for MMed A and Programme C... What the heck... Updating website is my portfiolo and everybody knows that...

Upon hearing her mentioning the updating of website, Prof immediately added on that she don't need to do this part and I will be doing the updating... Then she kept quiet and face turned black...

Today during the weekly Staff meeting, Dr Cheng asked about the JCFMT transition and straightaway she answered him that the process was very smooth and almost completed... I didn't even have the chance to answer... I was like... what the heck, I was the one who did most of the transition for the past 2 days and she only roughly brief the new manager for less than half a day, somemore in the 1st place she said she doesn't want to get involved... Then now still talked so much... She just wanted to let Dr Cheng thought that she was the one who did the handover and to earn some credits...

Anyway, I also don't bother as long as I know in my heart that I had done my part and as long as Jennifer also know that I was the one who did most of the handover...

Transition period

I was doing the handover of MMed A to the new JCFMT manager on last Friday and yesterday... The offical handover period is 2 weeks from 11 - 22 May, and I don't have to do this programme after 31 May liao...

I thought the handover process will be tough and 2 weeks might not be sufficient, but to my surprise the overall process was quite fast and smooth... In fact, yesterday I had already completed most of the handovering... So now, I just need to follow-up on some cases which was pending on my hand, e.g, the 5 appeal cases, arrange for GP attachment, contact the Nov 09 applicants to submit necessary document for interview, etc...

3 more days to end of transition period... phew! In fact, I was quite stressed up during the past few days worried that I couldn't finish the handover on time... But now, I am much relieved liao...

New portfiolo from 1 June 09

Last Thursday when I returned to work after my Malacca trip, Jennifer told me that she had discussed with Prof & Dr Cheng about my new portfiolo after the JCFMT took back the MMed A by end May... I will still be taking the IT portfiolo but not doing programme portfiolo anymore, my new portfiolo will be doing publications and will be working more with Linda from 1 June 09 onwards...

Gd for me also... In this case, I can learn new things and also to avoid interacting so much with colleague Y... Btw, I also didn't talk to her much after I came back from Malacca... It's not that I am petty or calculative, but I really cannot stand this kind of people and attitude... Anyway, I don't need to depend on her to get my work done, it is her who needs to depend on me to get her work done... Don't forget I am handling IT, that is the advantages... hahaha...

Gastric unwell

Gastric not well again since yesterday evening... Maybe bcos yest didn't had lunch due to late breakfast, or maybe after drinking that bottle of Pokka ice milk tea that caused the gastric pain...

Sian, gastric was so bloated till gastric not well for whole day today... Taken gastric tablets in the morning and before dinner just now, seemed like no effect...

Tired, moody, sian

After coming back from Malacca, I had been feeling sick, tired, moody & sian... Maybe bcos I was sick for 3 consecutive days therefore over exhausted, or maybe bcos long time didn't go for a trip liao so during the trip it was like in fantasy, but when back to Singapore it was like being forced to come back and face the reality again...

Mentally occupied but physically unoccupied... An indication of being too free and think of unnecessary stuff? Maybe I should make myself more physically occupied, maybe by doing more meaningful things like... hmmm... go for short course to learn more skills, make more friends, do volunteer work?

How about if physically tired but can't get to sleep? Sleeping pills? No lah, not my style... Maybe do more exercises? Cycling? Gym? Swimming? Another walkathon in parks?

1st, I need to have a good sleep now...

Still can't sleep... how?

Now it's almost 5am in the morning liao, I still can't sleep leh... How? Siao liao, tmr sure very tired... Sigh... But still have to force myself to sleep now, at least for 5 hrs?...

Don't tell me by drinking ice chocolate with chocolate ice-cream can cause insomnia? Bu hui bah?

Gathering

Just got home and taken a hot bath... And the time now is 3.40am... I am still not tired and am very energetic (but I didn't drink coffee ok)... Anyway, I had problem sleeping these few nights due to unknown reason... sigh... Maybe too tired after the Malacca trip, or maybe too sian about work transition, or maybe just simply tired bcos cannot sleep well...

Just now met up with Xiaohui & Ying they all at Esplanade to have some drinks and chit-chats from about 9.30pm to 12am, then we had 2nd round of drinks at Pasir Ris Park till 3.15am...

Mainly our gatherings are to update each other of our recent lives and also to know how each other are getting on... Another purpose of today's gatherng was to celebrate James' birthday...

Ok, just some updates & kpo-ing here... haha...

Xiaohui & Vincent's wedding will be on 20-09-2009, woooo, nice & unique number 20092009... Btw, they had invited my auntie to be their solemniser on that day, bcos my auntie is an authorised external solemniser approved by the ROM... Xiaohui & Vincent just had their wedding photos-shooting and now in the mist of selecting photos for their album... Their resale flat unit at Tampines is going to start renovating soon, the renovation work costs about $34k... So now they are in the process of choosing materials for the laminations for kitchen's walls and also the floor tiles... They planned to go Japan for their honeymoon, but they said not so fast after their wedding...

Ying & Kelvin is also in the mist of preparing for their wedding... Their wedding & solemnisation is on 31-01-2010... The last time when we all met up in Feb/ Mar 09, they mentioned that they still have not source for flat or the place to hold their wedding lunch yet, but within 3 months, they had already booked a restaurant at Tanjong Pagar for their lunch wedding and had just bought a resale flat unit at Tampines near to her parents' house... The flat costs $345k and they are intending to renovate the whole flat too... Next Sunday, they are going to choose & try out the wedding gowns... Their wedding photos-shooting will be in Aug...

Wah, seems like everybody is busy preparing for their own weddings... The 2 couples looked tired but can sense from the conversations on their happiness and anxiousness to step into the new chapters of their lives...

In fact, getting married is indeed a tiring and expensive process, but no matter what, it is still worth it... This kind of happiness & blissfulness cannot be bought by money I can say...

So I will be their Jie-meis on both days, should be quite fun... haha... But then hor, I heard people saying that, if a girl is to be bridemaids for 3 times then she will be left on shelf for lifetime... Is being Jie-meis counted also huh? No right, jie-mei is jie-mei, bridemaid is bridemaid right? haha... Anyway, no ban-tan lah...

Busy, drowsy, no appetite

So busy today, but as compared to last Thursday before I went to Malacca, today still not as rush... Maybe bcos I was not well, so I can't be bothered to rush too much today.... Or maybe I don't even have the energy to rush yet...

Jennifer said I looked pale and tired... The rest of them don't really dare to come & disturb me... Btw, I got 111 emails (22MB) to read and respond... But that's beside the point... The most fed up thing I encountered today was, I was abit pissed off by this colleague again! The same and only one colleague who I kept mentioning about her attitude and tone when talking to me... I shall named this colleague as Y from now on for easy reference...

She forwarded me the 1st email on 11/5/09 and the same email today... The email was to confirm the venue of the joint session which will be held on 20/5/09 with initially venue fixed at SGH...
However, normal people will either:
1) forward the email and put fyi then the recipient will read from buttom to know the whole conversation, or
2) the sender will summarise the main point so that the recipient don't need to read the whole conversation

Guess what? She wrote something like this in the 1st email: this Dr JL doesn't know that the SGH venue was cancelled and now that the Dorscon has changed to yellow so we can use back the room and she had informed the dept... Then 2nd same email, she just wrote: forwarded again...

Upon reading this, the 1st impression that I got was, we will be using the SGH (meaning no change in venue), so I sent a mass email to all the trainees under my programme to remind them of this joint session at SGH... Normally I will just Cc her and Jennifer in the email... She received the email and came to tell me that the venue was not at SGH, it's at NUS...! Then I said but she wrote "use back the room" in the email so I thought no change... Then she changed to her attitude tone and said "I thought you know... then why you replied my 2nd email"... Walau!

Partly, maybe bcos I got too many emails to read so I didn't really read her two emails which were the same and I only captured the sentence "use back the room"... 2ndly, even if I misunderstood her email, she also don't need to be so fed up for... Afterall she knew I am still on medication, of cos I will be more blur than normal state mah... The more she talked to me, the more I cannot stand her... Today she wanted to knock off together with me and walked to Mrt station as usual, but I purposely asked her to go off 1st then I pretended to pack my stuff...

Anyway, I didn't take lunch today... Only had 1.5 slices of egg sandwiches in morning...

Almost fainted in mrt

Finally back to work today... However when I was on the way to work, I almost fainted inisde the train, maybe too stuffy or maybe bcos I have not fully recovered yet... So I quickly get out of the train at Bugis, to sit & rest for awhile before I can contiune my way... I wanted to find toilet to wash my face as I was perspiring cold sweat but all the toilets were washing in progress... what the heck... so suay! No choice, I walked to the bus stop outside Parco and transferred a direct bus to SGH... Phew!

So scary...

Back to SG and was sick

Was back to Singapore on Sunday (10/5/09) evening... Still feeling very fine and also not tired after the 3-days trip at Malacca... When reached home, I still happily unpacked half of my luggage bcos I knew I still have 1 more day on the next day (11/5/09) to rest and slowly unpack...

The next day morning (11/5/09), I was still feeling ok and brought my grandma to market to eat breakfast then brought her to my house to visit my father... After bringing her home, I went to meet dar at Tampines wanting to exercise in the gym... Unfortunately, the gym was closed from 2pm to 4pm for Ladies' gym, so we got no choice but to go back to Bedok gym... However, when we reached Bedok, I started to feel unwell and abit of coughing... So ended up, we didn't go gym but to eat pratas then went home...

My cough was so bad until I can't sleep at all when I was trying to take a noon nap... Coughed till I was very panting, so I decided to see my family doctor... I didn't know that I was having fever until the doctor said my fever was 38.6...! I was abit worried and kept asking her if it was safe since I just came back from Malacca, she kept assured me that Malacca was safe and it should be just normal flu virus... So she gave me some panadols, cough syrup, flu tablets and Vitamin C plus 1 day MC for Tuesday (12/5/09) where I was supposed to go back work...

After sleeping for whole day, I still feel unwell; still coughing, running nose and sore throat... So I went to see my family doctor again on Wednesday (13/5/09) morning... She said I was still having slight fever of 37.9, so this time round she gave me anti-biotics, lozenges and tablets for getting rid of phelgm... Another 1 day MC...

Sigh... sicked for 3 consecutive days, somemore with high fever... These 3 days were very miserable... Except for sleeping, I got no energy to do other things... Have to isolate myself from family, especially my father...

However if given to choose again, I will still want to go Malacca despite I knew I will fall sick after coming back...

Political colleague

I always thought that working in smaller organisations will reduce or even have no office politic... After I started working here, I still feel this way and also able to see the good team work here bcos there are only 6 of us... Initially, still feel fortunate to work in such a good environment with good colleagues who don't play politics... However, good things don't last long and recently I had enough of this colleague of mine who I had been mentioning in my latest few blog entries...

These 4 days I had a hard time trying to finish the handover stuff, SOPs, workflow and scanning of those document for backups... I am really stressed up until I can't sleep at nights, but I know that I still have to do it and get it over & done with...

This colleague saw me hanging at Jennifer's desk teaching Jennifer on how to do the email blast to members, she also unhappy... What the heck... What was wrong with her brain man...

Then later part of today, I sent an email to her & Jennifer to inform them that I am done with preparing the handover stuff and ready to print + bind the SOPs nicely, this colleague just replied the email and said that she doesn't want to sit in and involved in the handovering...! Can see her face was as black as charcoal... Come on lah, be more professional and sensible loh... This programme is under MOH, we have to do it nicely and do the transition properly... This concerns not only both of us, it involves College's reputation too... She doesn't want to cooperate just bcos she was unhappy that I did a proper set of SOPs... I guess partly also bcos this programme is under my portfolio so she doesn't see the point to help me... Don't forget, both our salaries come from JCFMT and she still has to do her part to handover 2 minor areas of this programme...

Anyway, I had done what I needed to do for the entire handovering of programme liao... I told her, she just briefed the new team whatever she can on Mon then I will do the rest when I am back to office on Tue...

Yeah! Tmr going Malacca liao... Finally can take a short break liao!

Reacted again

This colleague whom I quoted few days ago in my blog entry, was picking on me again these 2 days... I think she really got attitude problem, else she must have treating me as her main threat because we are handling programmes (but diff programmes)...

Take the followings for instance:

1) when Jennifer approached me to do things and when I worked closely with Jennifer, she was not happy & jealous... Some things which she didn't do it in the past and now I am doing it and managed to do it, she was unhappy too... Last March when I took over from her for the MMed Programme A which she used to do, I implemented some changes and she saw it as a threat... I started tracking the trainees' course fees which were outstanding for 1 to 2 years back and managed to chase back the payments (S$133,000) from the 2 Clusters for College, she was jealous because Jennifer was impressed with my performance that I can do it while she didn't do a good job previously...

2) IVLE is 1 of my portfolios and I dare to say that I am very familiarised with the whole system by now... Of course, the process included experiences through exploring, learning and trial & error... As I mentioned that I was rushing to upload the 143 qnts for M4 elearning on Mon, and I got an idea to let the trainees from 2007 & 2008 intakes taking 2 diff sets of assessments which will close on diff dates (i.e. 2007 intake close on 14/5/09 while 2008 intake close on 2/6/09)... In this way, this colleague will have an easy time checking, especially for the 2007 intake who will be taking exam this year where they must fulfill M4... She didn't appreciate what I had done to make her life easy, somemore she felt threatened and unhappy when Prof complimented for my good idea...

3) yest this colleague went with me to attend a discussion on PTMS for this new MMed Programme C with MOH, JCST and CSC people... From my understanding, this programme was not endorsed by JCFMT yet and of course we don't dare to talk so much about it... When touching on to PTMS during the discussion, she can comment on the feature where she was not even the person who was very familiarised with it... I am the one who used it often and familiarised with the system because I need to use it on my MMed A trainees... Then when the MOH personnel asked her some qnts on the PTMS, she couldn't answer and quickly turned to me hoping that I will answer for her but I jitao ignore... When I finally wanting to comment, she shot me back and shown me her annoyed face... I was so pissed off and don't want to talk to her...

4) As JCFMT is going to take back the MMed A programme to the new JCFMT team next week, I was preparing the handover lists and stuff so that both of us can do a proper & smooth transition... This morning, I emailed her & Jennifer on the list of items that I will be handovering, she replied in a quite sarcastic manner saying "woo, so comprehensive list ah"... I guess even a 3-year old kid also can sense her unhappiness and 不爽-ness loh... I don't mean to instruct her to do anything or neither am I trying to show my performance to Jennifer that I can do it... But since I had done handovers before in my previous 3 jobs, I have roughly know how to go about doing it proper...

Well, enough of her... These examples are enough to show her unhappiness and why she kept picking on me and not picking on other colleagues... She must have been treating me as her threat all these while maybe because she was afraid that I can do a better job than her in any ways...

Can't stand this kind of people...

What I can say is, no matter how good our performance is, we are still getting the same end year bonus across the board... I am not trying to say that we shouldn't work hard, but not as in having 心病 like that, it's very hard to work together like that loh... sigh...

Busy Mon & Tue

Was so busy yest as well as today, busy like bees or ants...

Mon:
Due to the tight deadline of the M4 elearning, I had to rush to upload the 143 qnts into IVLE by Mon afternoon and to approach tutors to test it out before launching it to the trainees... Lucky Prof tested it out fast and gave the go ahead to launch it, so 1 task down... phew!

Jennifer was on half day leave on Mon... Before she went off, she asked me to do few tasks for her, e.g. 1) calling SMA to check about the N95 masks then e-blast the info to our members, 2) get few quotations from diff companies to dismantle & assemble our AV system in our existing lecture room because our current office is undergoing renovation now... So far today, there's about 3 company's representatives who came down for site viewing...

After lunch, 500 called looking for Jennifer and I picked up the call, so he asked me if we were been briefed about the current situation of the Influenza A (H1N1) and if we have any masks in office... He wanted to hold a staff meeting to brief us on this and what to prepare if situation worsen... After putting down for few seconds, he called again looking for me and asked me about the College website to temporary divert to a new webpage with Swine Flu's updated info... He said I can look for freelancer or part-timer to assist me in doing the new webpage if necessary... But I told him that I can manage and he seemed abit impressed... He even asked me if I am familiar with video camera and what software I know that can be used for video editing... I named him 1 software and he was quite impressed and asked me to go source for a good video camera for College...

Talking about this, on Sat when I was back for work, he introduced me an IT guy who was from an IT consultancy firm who proposed a CMS (Content Management System) and talked alot of craps on it because he thought that I was a layman... Somemore the 1st qnt that he asked me was "Are you a technical person?"... I jitao fed up & shot him back how did he defined "technical" and guess what? His reply was "hmmmmm, technical as in IT and doing website"...! I was thinking what the heck... @$%#^%$^... So unprofessional, and I had never came across an IT personnel asking this kind of stupid qnt...

After talking so much, he also don't know what he is supposed to do and what College wants him to do with our current website, somemore ask me to go and check with 500...!

Tue:
Still busy with getting quotations for the AV system... Today, there's also 3 company's representatives who came down for site viewing... The cut-off time was 5pm today then I did a collation & do a summary for Jennifer's easy reference... Another task completed... Phew!

Unprofessional china lady

Sat morning, we brought my father down to our block for acupunture as usual... This china lady who was the chinese physician's assistant was very sarcastic, unprofessional and rude... I almost quarrelled with her... She saw us trying to transfer my father from wheelchair to the bed to do the acupunture, she didn't offer to help still nevermind, she even commented that we don't know or are not trained properly to transfer my father while other people can easily transfer their father/ mother alone without help... I was so pissed off with her comment and bad attitude and shot her back by saying that there's no privacy in the shop as people (referring to her) can just comment and see what we are doing... After hearing this, the chinese physician quickly pulled the curtain around the bed to prevent other people from seeing...

Really cannot stand this kind of people...

Pissed off with a colleague

Not wanting to say her name but I think she was really very 小气and 看不开on alot of things... She only knew how to grumble and said things about other people, but nv look at herself... Many times bcos of small little things, she can also feel angry and started banging things...

During the Thursday admin meeting, Prof asked her to Cc me in her email for the trainee's handbook when send to him bcos I need to upload it in the IVLE, I can see straight from her face that she was not happy... Well, Cc-ing someone in the email at work doesn't mean anything and doesn't mean she was junior than me... We are both programmes executives and although she joined College earlier than me for few months, doesn't mean that she was senior than me also... We are doing different programmes and somehow she was the one who keep interferring in my work and tell me to do this & that, acting like she was senior and knew many things than me... In her email to me instructing me to do things yest, I was abit pissed off by her again... Well, this is not the 1st time she behaved like that liao, and most impt thing is I also don't owe her living... I will just do what I need to do for my work, she wants to throw temper also not my problem...

Working yest, doing good deed

Yest only Reona & I were back to work bcos of the GP forum on Swine flu... I reached COMB at abt 1.50pm and saw the security guards taking temperatures for the GPs attending the forum at the entrance, even I also needed to take temperature... After climbing up the slope from Mrt, my temperature was 37.3 degree, almost cannot enter the building... haha...

Reona & I waited for the forum to start then went opp to Bengawan Solo to buy some puffs for the work group meeting later on... We ate our lunch at 3pm then replied some emails until the forum ended.... The work group meeting started late, supposed to start at 4.30pm but it started at 5pm... After the meeting started then Reona & I went off...

Along the way to Mrt, we saw an old man squating in pain at the shelter towards the Mrt... We stopped and asked him what happened... He said he was forced to discharge and he got no money and didn't eat for few days... So we wanted to find some helps to help him back to hospital but noone was willing to stop to help us... They just see and walked away without offered to help at all, including a nurse from SGH... So we got no choice but to walk him back to SGH Blk 4 to flag a cab... During the chat then I got to know that he actually rented a flat together with another old man and he himself worked as garan guni collecting cardboards... He said he fell on Monday thus ending up in hospital for 5 days... He lived with the govt aide for living and was forced to discharged from SGH bcos he got no $ to pay for the hospitalise bill...
Reona was nice, she even went to withdrew $30 to give it to the old man to pay for the cab and to buy food... After the old man went up the cab, then we continued to walk to the Mrt...

Is this considered doing good deed? Franking speaking, Reona & I were abit scared to go near to the old man bcos we didn't know if he carry any disease or virus... But anyway, we just helped whatever we can...

Low battery

Yest night went to ktv with dar at Bedok central from 10pm to 1.45am... This ktv branch is newly opened, think just opened few months ago only... The rate is considered not as expensive as Kbox, but abit expensive than Teo Heng... The environment is quite ok, sound system also not bad, but the drinks is very expensive although it's inclusive in the package... Imagine a cup of milo or tea or coffee costs $6.00!!!

My voice was really out of tune when singing at nights, really cmi, I myself also cannot stand my own singing last night... haha... Out of tune still nvm, furthermore like no voice to sing like that... I also noticed that if I sing at nights, I will feel headache and more tiring than singing at daytime...

Slept from 2.30am to 10am, then went to Waterloo temple to pray then slept again from 4pm to 8pm just now... Still feel so tired now, like a low battery needing to sleep to re-charge energy...

Swine flu

Recently there is outbreak on Swine flu over the few countries, making people panicking... News on this flu was reported everyday and the number of people contacted with this flu is increasing rapidly... Bcos of this, we were so busy at work for the past 2-3 days... Have to update the website with relevant and updated info on the advisory, circular from MOH, mass emails to members to invite them to come for the GP Forum on Swine Flu which will be held tomorrow pm, therefore I need to work tomorrow also...

Other than the tasks above, we also need to setup a hotline & email account for GPs to enquire on the new directive or any concern they have on the swine flu...
